Internal Audit Intern
This opportunity is a part time (20 hours per week) internship within the Internal Audit Department. Work hours are flexible, allowing you to work around your class schedule.
**Please note this internship is a paid opportunity that may provide course credit.
Primary Activities and Responsibilities:
Internal Audit interns are expected to perform professional internal auditing work including:
Assisting with audit projects and investigations as needed
Participating in client interviews
Understanding and documenting client processes and procedures
Performing audit testing and formulating conclusions based on test results
Preparing work papers
Assisting in communicating results to management in writing or orally
Developing and maintaining productive relationships
Maintaining all organizational and professional standards
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old
Junior or Senior pursuing a degree in Accounting, General Business, or Management; or a Graduate student pursuing an MBA or Master’s in other business related concentration
Cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0 ( based on a 4-point scale)
Preferred Qualifications:
In addition to meeting the above qualifications, the following is preferred:
Completed one or more of the following courses
Auditing
Advanced Auditing
Accounting 201
General Business
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Ability to analyze complex business issues and make sound business decisions
Other:
- Successfully complete a background check and drug test
