Production Control Internship

Position Summary

This position coordinates between Production, Engineering, Materials, Quality, and administrative personnel to ensure customer tasks and projects are completed on time while meeting customer and technical requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Day to Day activities

  • Review engineering drawings and aircraft manuals to assist production personnel in determining correct replacement parts and acceptable repairs.

  • Assist with the development of processes and procedures.


  1. Coordination between departments to schedule work flow based on available resources.

  • Support Repair Shop and Maintenance team with tooling design.

  • Responsible for creating Traveler and Work Instructions.

  • Data entry of work instructions and parts requests into Pentagon 2000 (logistics software program).


  1. Company Policy Compliance

  • Maintain neat and clean working environment.

  • Observe safety procedures and personnel policies.

  • Regular attendance required as outlined in company policy.

  • Internships usually average 25 hours per week.


Education:

  • Field of study in Project or Business Management is preferred. 
  • Junior or Senior University student active/currently enrolled.

Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:

  • MS Office experience preferred.
  • Basic data entry or word processing skills required.
  • Demonstrate high level of accuracy of work.
  • Must be dependable with attendance and follow instructions and directions accurately.
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize and plan work activities.
  • Exhibit flexible attitude and approach to assignments.
  • Interact cordially and productively with coworkers, supervisors and managers.
  • Must read, write and communicate clearly in English.

Nature of Contacts:

Moderate communication skills required on a  daily basis with internal and external parties
