Full Charge Bookkeeper / Staff Accountant

***PAY RATE WILL BE BASED ON EXPERIENCE***

The Bookkeeper reports to the Senior Bookkeeper and COO. He or she is responsible for, but not limited to, maintaining the day-to-day accounting functions, accruals, financial statement preparation, and performing general accounting functions, as required. **Duties may be subject to change based on company needs** 

1.     Full cycle Accounts Receivable, including preparation of monthly invoices and maintaining customer and vendor records 
2.     Accounts Payable including: purchase orders and vendor records maintenance  
3.     Multiple Bank reconciliations for depository accounts 
4.     Reconcile all balance sheet accounts; reviewing for input accuracy and prepare monthly reports and journal entries, as needed 
5.     General ledger maintenance 
6.     Prepare weekly & bi-weekly payroll 
7.     Administration of quarterly business and payroll taxes 
8.     Prepare monthly financial statements 
9.     Maintain required business documents 
10. Prepare annual 1099’s and W2’s as needed
11. Assistance with the annual budget and audit process 
12. Maintain financial document retention files 
13. New vendor setup and maintenance in Quick Books (online)
14. Vendor statement reconciliation and discrepancies 
15. Write up deposit and cash reports 
16. Produce and review all expense reports for accuracy and proper expense disclosure and processing
17. Perform accounting requirements as needed for construction projects 
18. Perform other related duties as may be requested by the COO  

REQUIREMENTS:  
1.     Bachelor’s degree in Accounting  
2.     Proficient in accounting software (3 years minimum experience); Quick Books (online) is required
3.     Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles 
4.     3-5 years Full Charge Bookkeeping experience 
5.     Proficiency in Microsoft Office 
6.     Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced work environment 
7.     Highly organized and detail oriented 
8.     Able to complete tasks accurately and timely with minimal supervision 
9.   Strong verbal and written communication skills 
10. Thrives in a collaborative, team player office environment 
11. Ability to interface well with staff and multiple office locations 
12. Proven ability to maintain confidentiality  
13. Strong organizational skills
