Electrical Engineer

Vulcan, Inc.Job Description            Position Title: Electrical Engineer  Current Employee:   Job Code:   Immediate Supervisor:  Location:  EMC Dept.  Date: 05/01/2018FLSA Status:              Position SummaryThe purpose of the Engineer I position is to provide electrical engineering support to the Company on a 24/7 basis, utilizing effective and efficient engineering practices to ensure continuous Plant operations.            Minimum Qualifications1.This position requires a degree in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on power and controls.

2.Knowledge of routing electric power, controlling its quality, and controlling the devices attached to a power system.3.Proficiency in AutoCAD, PC software packages (MS Power Point, Excel) and applicable engineering tools.4.Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.5.Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. 6.Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instruction in mathematical or diagram form.7.Skilled at project organizing and delegation of duties.            Essential Job Functions















1.Provides oversight of the organization of all Company electronic drawing files and paper drawings.2.Maintains and continually updates the Minimum Construction Standards and Safety Requirements documents regulating outside companies performing work on Vulcan premises.3.Monitors and provides recommendations regarding improvements, needed maintenance and needed replacement on equipment, machinery processes, etc.4.Ensures continuous operation of electrical systems operating throughout the Company by reviewing preventative maintenance reports, quickly responding to and troubleshooting problems utilizing rapid correction procedures.5.Continuously assesses and reviews the electrical processes throughout the Plants to determine where processes can be improved upon, be made more efficient, increase reliability and improve cost effectiveness.6.Works with and supports the Maintenance Manager and the maintenance staff as necessary.
