Inside Account Manager

We are excited to demonstrate our commitment to building the best Customer Intimacy team for our Core Technology Partners through the addition of an Inside Account Manager. This Inside Account Manager (IAM) position is a key role in our organization and has a focus on the Automation and Electrical Division. The IAM has direct and daily contact with our customers and is expected to grow relationships and accounts. The position is fast paced and requires excellent communication, critical thinking skills and the ability to multitask. The IAM sells company products in conjunction with Outside Account Managers (OAM), to increase customer penetration and sales opportunities. Success is measured by meeting sales objectives and performing all duties with a high ethical standard while exceeding all customer requirements.
Job Location: Mobile, Alabama
Duties and Responsibilities:
·        Manage & Prioritize incoming requests from multiple sources (i.e. fax, email, phone calls)
·        Specify and recommend products and solutions to customers based of customer application and AWC’s core products
·        Support inside/outside sales staff with application scenarios and customer requests for applications
·        Acknowledge & Process customer’s Request For Quotes (RFQ) and Purchase Orders (PO
·        Set up & Manage customer requirements (Quote & Order) and accounts
·        Set Up Part Numbers (as required)
·        Proactive Expediting via Weekly Open Order Report
·        Reactive Expediting (as requested)
·        Acknowledge & Process Request for Return or Repair
·        Establish & Manage Customer Contract Pricing
·        Build & Maintain Customer & Vendor Relationships
·        Monitor & Manage Customer Order Management Systems (as required) 
·        Co-Management of Key Accounts with Outside Account Manager
 
Required Qualifications:
·        4 year business / 2 year technical degree or 2-5 years associated industry experience. Recent graduates with strong technical background will be considered
·        Strong computer skills utilizing Microsoft Excel & Word, assorted search engines (i.e. Google)
·        Ability to learn and utilize AWC based inventory management and sales systems.
·        Customer service orientation
·        Desire to learn and grow
·        Must be a team player with the ability to work with management, outside sales, warehouse, and fellow inside sales personnel to achieve common goals.
·        Sense of urgency, high energy with high accountability
·        Proactive, results oriented approach
·        Ability to multitask and detail oriented

·      Ability to clearly communicate (verbal and written via phone, e-mail, etc.)
      Preferred Skills:
·        Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel & Outlook)
·        Industrial Automation, Electrical experience ex/ Siemens, Rockwell, Sq. D, etc.
·        Project management experience and skills
