Assistant Office Manager (of Law Firm)

This is a full time position (available to start May 1, 2019) as an Assistant Office Manager of a law firm located in Mobile, Alabama.

The law firm is a large estate planning firm with offices in Mobile, Alabama, Huntsville, Alabama and Pensacola, Florida. This position is for the Mobile, Alabama office only.

  • This is NOT a paralegal position and no prior experience working in a law firm is required.

  • No prior experience as an office manager is required.

  • All training and orientation required will be provided by the law firm after hiring

  • Experience and proficiency with basic word processing such as Word/Office Suite would be preferred, although no significant clerical work will be required.


Job Requirements:

The Assistant Office Manager position will require the employee to conduct various law office management responsibilities, serve as a witness on the execution of legal documents of clients, accompany attorneys in the firm to public speaking events, including assisting with the planning, scheduling and set up of the AV equipment for such speaking events and certain interaction with clients of the law firm,

As noted, No prior law firm experience is required for this position. No prior experience as an office manager is required. All training and orientation required will be provided by the law firm after hiring.

Experience and proficiency with basic word processing such as Office Suite would be preferred, although no significant clerical work will be required.

Also, any basic experience or familiarity with office IT (tech support) would be a bonus (such as networking - wired and wireless) but is not required.
