Accounts Receivable Specialist

The Hiller Companies, Inc. has an opening for an experienced individual to fill an immediate need for an Accounts Receivable Specialist. The position is located at the main corporate office in Mobile, Alabama.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Cash Application – Lockbox, Credit Card Deposits, Checking Deposits.
  • Research payment application as needed.
  • Communicate with branch offices regarding unapplied payments and payment discrepancies.
  • Assist with the daily responsibilities of the accounting department.
  • Scan and maintain deposit backup.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years accounting experience.
  • Ability to work in a team oriented office and fast paced environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
  • Must be able to sit at a computer for the majority of a shift.
  • Must be able to multitask and be willing to take on special projects as needed.
Computer Skills:
  • Knowledge of JD Edwards System preferred but not mandatory.
  • Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office such as Excel and Word.
  • Heavy Data Entry
