Job Duties:
  • Analyze survey reports, maps and other data to plan projects
  • Compile and submit permitting applications to local, state, and federal agencies verifying that projects comply with various regulations
  • Test building materials, such as concrete, asphalt, or steel, for use in particular projects
  • Use design software to plan and design transportation systems, hydraulic systems, and structures in line with industry and government standards
  • Assist with formal presentations

Requirements:
  • Civil Engineering Major
  • Engineering/Math Course Work
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated strong focus on details
  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills


If selected for an On-Campus Interview you are encouraged to bring the following to your interview appointment:

  • Two typed letters of recommendation (from individuals who are not members of your family). Letters must be no longer than one page, typed, double spaced with one inch margins, signed (by the applicant and the person making the recommendation).

Please note:
  • Applicants must be between 18 (by June 1, 2020) and 24 years old. 
  • Each of the participants will receive background and drug screening.
  • Applicants must have participated in two extracurricular activities (church counts for one), must have at least a 2.0/4.0 GPA and must be currently enrolled in school.
  • The program runs from May 20 – July, 24, 2019. The program lasts for nine weeks and consists of six days of training and eight weeks of on-the-job performance.
  • Upon being selected into the program applicants will be emailed a computer skills test to complete.  
  • Only first time applicants need to apply.
  • Only complete applications will be considered.
