
TV Maintenange Engineer
JOB SUMMARY WLOX-TV is looking for a full time Broadcast/IT Maintenance Technician. Candidate must have excellent time management skills, and be highly organized. This individual will be responsible for installing and maintaining video, audio, computer and other equipment associated with television broadcasting including server-based record and play-out systems, non-linear editors, production switchers, routing switchers, MPEG encoders, decoders, automation, newsroom computer systems and broadcast transmission equipment. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES • Oversees all technology in WLOX • Performing all routine maintenance procedures as outlined by the vendors Gray TV works with • Overseeing WLOX’s transmitter site and performing maintenance on WLOX’s transmitter • Taking care of minor building issues.
Requirements:
• Good communication skills • Helpful but not necessary to have worked at least 2 years in IT/Television industry. • Must hold a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record. • Must be available to work a minimum schedule of 40 hours per week. • Must be willing to work possible overnight shifts during hurricane or tropical storm coverage. • Operating knowledge of PC’s and graphics computers • Excellent organizational filing skills • Good people skills • Pre-employment drug screening, and random drug testing.
