Human Resource Co-Op Summer/Fall 2021

POSITION PURPOSE
Provide HR job experience to the Co-op and complete assignments within the SSAB Corporate Human Resources Team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

·   Assist with ongoing Human Resources related projects
·   Work with the Corporate HR team to document policy and procedures
·   Assist with HRIS system testing
·    Work on the development and maintenance of HR process and compliance calendars
·   Assist with program benchmarking within the compensation and benefits areas
  
EDUCATIONAL/TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS

·  Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required

KEY EXPECTED RESULTS:
·       Completion of various HR documentation
·       Completion of HR process and compliance calendar
·       Participation in Human Resources Team meetings

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES / DIRECT REPORTS
Position has no supervisory responsibilities

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee will be required to sit, stand, and/or walk as follows:
·       Sitting 4 hours during 8 hour work day
·       Walking 4 hours during 8 hour work day
·       Able to alternate sitting and standing as needed

The position requires the following talking, vision and hearing capabilities:
·       Talking person to person, on the phone, and in a group setting
·       Hearing in person, on the phone, and in a group setting
·       Vision at near, mid-range, and far
·       Peripheral vision and depth perception

The position requires the following pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying capabilities:
·       Push, pull, lift, and/or carry items weighing 25 pounds or less

The employee will occasionally be required to:
·       Balance, crouch, and climb
·       Twist at waist level and reach below waist level
·       Reach at waist/desk level, and below waist level
·       Handle, grip, hold, and grasp with both hands together or separately

The employee will frequently be required to:
·   Finger and feel with both hands together or separately; sense temperature and textures with both hands together or separately
·   The employee will work in the following conditions: (While wearing safety equipment and/or clothing for protection from hazards
·    Indoors

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK/TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
·       Position is full time, non-exempt, and is eligible for overtime
·       Position works (8) hours a day, Monday-Friday (days only)
